The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a project leader to guide Liv Communities with information systems through programming, testing, and implementation, investigates, and recommends software for purchase and provides support and leadership through implementation, provides ongoing support to users through maintenance and troubleshooting, and assists the Information Systems Manager in planning, personnel selection, and personnel training.

  • Analyze and Recommend Systems for New Construction Development
    a. Identify appropriate technology needs for new construction developments.
    b. Manage IT/low voltage contractors as needed/
    c. Develop plans for implementation of new projects, coordinating process with project leaders as necessary (i.e. project managers, property managers, regional property managers, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, IS Manager, etc.). Provide well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
    d. Test solutions after installation to verify proper functionality and make modifications where necessary.
    e. Ability to read blueprints.
  • Training
    a. Work with end users to identify training needs and make appropriate recommendations.
    b. Create appropriate technological training based on user needs.
    c. Train end users on applications and projects.
  •  Research Technology Solutions
    a. Research reoccurring problems and recommend and implement solutions, utilizing forums and other sources where appropriate.
    b. Analyze the effectiveness of current systems and present ideas and recommendations for improvements.
    c. Analyze wireless technology needs at designated multi-family and senior living site locations, and research applicable wireless technology solutions for these locations. Develop an implementation plan and educate and train end users.
    d. Research purchasing decisions for both hardware and software and make recommendations.
  • End User Support
    a. Troubleshoot technical challenges and work with appropriate end users to resolve issues.
    b. Perform installs, upgrades, moves, and changes for computer workstation hardware and software, printers, and other peripheral devices as a secondary responsibility.
    c. Effectively resolves complex problems by conducting a thorough analysis of the problems and employing appropriate strategies for resolution.
  • Communication
    a. Represent Liv Communities’ People First! promise with all team members in a professional manner.
    b. Answer all team member questions and concerns promptly and with a positive customer service attitude.
    c. Communicate effectively and ensure follow through until all issues are resolved.
  • Information Systems Manager Support
    a. Assists with maintaining and updating a Disaster Recovery Plan for Liv Communities.
    b. Assists with creating and evaluating budgets for our supported sites.
    c. Assists with special projects by performing functions such as collecting relevant information, conducting appropriate research, writing reports, and providing analysis and evaluations in a variety of areas.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR equivalent relevant experience in the computer science field.
  • Ability to analyze and recommend information systems for new development properties.
  • Skilled knowledge and understanding of technical networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory.
  • A strong customer service orientation.
  • Commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to respond to immediate needs or tight deadlines.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is required.
  • A minimum of one year of project lead experience is required.

Job Expectations:
• Travel required to all sites, including out-of-state locations.
• 24/7 on-call as needed.
