Under direct supervision of the Director of Living Well, the Resident Services Coordinator will lead the Assisted Living team. The position will manage the schedule for Caregivers and Med Tech working in Assisted Living and Courtyard (Memory Care). They will work to achieve the goals and objectives for the senior living community by ensuring superior quality clinical services for our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interview, hire, train and manage a team of caregivers and medication technicians
  • Responsible for all staffing and scheduling of all caregivers and medication technicians
  • Directly supervise all Assisted Living care staff. This includes evaluating, training, mentoring, assigning work schedules and developing performance improvement plans
  • Ensure the environment is always beautifully maintained
  • Assist in the day-to-day healthcare operations to ensure Assisted Living residents’ healthcare needs are proactively being met
  • Coordinate nursing/resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident’s total regimen of care
  • Resolve concerns regarding resident care with all constituents in a timely manner
  • Provide hands-on resident care as needed or warranted
  • Assist in ongoing functional assessments/observations of residents’ physical and psycho-social needs, and coordinate with other departments to assure quality care
  • Provide continuity of care for those residents receiving home health care, hospice services, and other third-party healthcare-related services
  • Ensure proper and timely records reporting in your department in accordance with state and federal guidelines and company standards
  • Assist with coordination of admissions, functional assessments, and service plans to assure accuracy, timeliness and completeness so they are personalized and in accordance with state regulatory requirements                  
  • Ensure resident confidentiality and HIPAA regulations are compliant
  • Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental or behavioral conditions
  • Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies and procedures, dictated for compliance
  • Assist with medication and treatment administration, ensuring medications are administered per physician orders
  • As directed, review and coordinate completion of incident reports that are health and injury related and assist develop/monitor plans of correction in accordance with policies and procedures


Job Qualifications:

  • AZ Caregiver Certification required
  • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in Assisted Living
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with geriatric care services for a wide variety of residents
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, both internal (care staff, nurses, executives, etc.) and external (families, residents, physicians, vendors, etc.)
  • Must be able to work occasional nights/weekends and holidays as required and to be on call via telephone for nursing related emergencies
  • Current Fingerprint Card
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
