Of course, work wouldn’t be work without some responsibilities. Your main responsibility is providing a caring and professional service to our residents. You’ll take orders, deliver meals, set tables, clean, and participate in training and staff meetings. There’s not much you can’t do. Responsibilities

  • Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals correctly and efficiently
  • Mentors other servers to ensure dining standards are being met. Supervises dining room staff in absence of dining room supervisor.
  • Ensures all tables are clean and set per dining department standards.
  • Attends pre-meal briefings and ensures dining room is ready to go and opens on time for all meal periods.
  • Completes opening and closing tasks for self and others.
  • Closes out POS system at end of night and completes any needed paperwork as assigned.
  • Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • Attends and participates in training, in-services, and staff meetings
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Dining Room Supervisor and/or Director of Dining Services

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Previous wait staff or food service experience preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a food handlers card and alcohol certification within 30 days of employment
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Flexible schedule
  • Sufficient fluency in spoken and/or written English to safely and effectively perform the functions of your job and to understand job assignments, instructions, policies, rules, and safety-related information
  • Experience in working in a senior living community preferred
  • Willing to work flexible hours, such as evenings and weekends
  • Pass post offer TB test
