Overview

Primary Purpose of Position:


To support the seamless operation of Liv’s hardware, software, servers, and connectivity. The IT Systems Administrator will also spearhead effective troubleshooting of IT related problems as they arise.

Responsibilities


  • Assist the IT team with escalated tickets/issues while demonstrating excellent customer service and speed.

  • Act as a participant and co-owner of the documentation, maintenance, and implementation of Liv’s technology stack, including installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems and applications as needed.

  • Plan, test, and implement Local and Wide Area Network development specifications. Implement and monitor controls to ensure they are effective, efficient, and secure.

  • Initiate and enforce network security via passwords, anti-virus software, intruder detection programs, and right-sized solutions for Liv as needed. Including managing relationships with managed security providers, application vendors, etc.

  • Participate in team efforts to ensure compliance to Liv’s technology policies.

  • Participate in the continual review of department procedures, team accountabilities, equipment, and IT partners in the stewardship of Liv’s technology expense.

  • Serve as a key stakeholder in the development and maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan for Liv’s infrastructure and Business Continuity.

  • Point of contact for Liv’s managed service providers and technical vendors.

  • Oversee compliance and adherence to Liv’s technology policies.

  • Available as needed to train end users when requested.

Qualifications

IT Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):



  • Network topology, VPN Configuration, Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

  • Personal Computer (PC) operating systems and hardware

  • Telecommunication systems

  • Printers, copiers, scanners, and faxes

  • Application software

  • Managing anti-virus, Active Directory user accounts and resources, Exchange email accounts, Smartphones, and data backup and recovery systems

  • Deep experience with Desktop and Server Operating Systems, including all Microsoft solutions

  • Installing, testing, and repairing telecommunication equipment, voice and data lines, and IP surveillance cameras

  • Ability to identify and interpret end-user issues

  • IT Service management methodologies – nice to have


 


Additional Skills:



  • Effective collaborator and team player.

  • Proven track record of developing and providing Service Level Agreements and service department deliverables.

  • Excellent prioritization, communication, and coaching skills.

  • Project management and implementation.

  • Effective verbal and written communication including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving.


 


Job Qualifications:



  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related field and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience managing Windows servers and Active Directory (on-prem and Azure).

  • 2+ years managing Azure Cloud Network Infrastructure.

  • 2+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure components and deployments.

  • Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or MCITP certifications preferred.
